Boulder; Day 2

Day two in Boulder took us to a few bike shops, including Pro Peloton.  This shop focuses on super high-end bikes all custom sized and custom ordered with clients including the likes of pro racers T.J. Van Garderen and Taylor Phinney.  Bevin and I spent about two hours there, chatting with the head mechanic, Jon; a very friendly guy who just wanted to talk bikes, racing and the local cycling scene.  Chatting with him, which felt more like hanging out with a friend, really was a highlight of the trip to Boulder.

Lunch was at Leaf, a very excellent vegetarian restaurant that even have their own 10acre garden where they grow much of the produce they serve.  From there, more coffee, bike shops and micro-brews for Bevin.  Dinner was back at West Flanders, where I enjoyed a scrumptious pumpkin risotto and Bevin gorged himself on a grass-fed beef patty burger topped with pulled-pork and bacon.  Yup, some real good eats in this town.
